What does a Rich Internet Application Developer at Hayneedle do?
Do you love to push the browser to the limit? Is innovative solution provider your middle name? Then we want you! Our ideal applicant is passionate about delivering a great user experience and capable of building a superior internet application. The RIA Developer is responsible for production ready, large-scale cross-platform, cross-browser compatible JavaScript-based Rich Internet Applications that run in web browsers. You will work with other teams to receive design and interaction requirements, dissect the requirements, and implement the appropriate solution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate design and interaction requirements to a solution which is fully functional in the Hayneedle web platform and across all web browsers.
• Use JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX in solutions.
• Develop high volume, critical, customer facing web applications.
• Set and enforce best practices for JavaScript.
• Set and enforce best practices for Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
• Work with Web Application Developers and Quality Assurance to build and test solutions.
What basic qualifications will our Rich Internet Application Developer need to have?
Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Computer Science, related technical field or equivalent work experience required.
• 2+ years of experience building Rich Internet Applications.
• 1 or more years of JQuery development.
• Demonstrable experience with one or more of the following technologies: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, YUI, Flash, Flex, ActionScript 3.0, Dreamweaver, Eclipse and Photoshop.
• Knowledge of current and emerging web standards.
• Strong communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and constructively in a small, focused team.
• Self-motivated problem solver with a strong eye for detail.
